BIOGRAPHY
Gisèle Boisvert est fascinée depuis l’enfance par la couleur et le dessin, hameau
de paix et refuge; Issue d’une famille où l’art visuel n’a pas la cote, c’est alors
qu’une carrière rangée et normative loin du milieu artistique se dessine pour
elle dès l’adolescence. Son intérêt pour la peinture s’est alors canalisée dans la
fréquentation des musées d’arts visuels au Québec comme à l’étranger, au gré
de ses voyages, jalonnant ainsi sa vie de jeune adulte jusqu’à la quarantaine.
Une invitation à découvrir la peinture à l’huile se présente à elle; médium qui l’a
toujours attiré, elle fait le plongeon dans cet univers qui l’a ravie
instantanément. Elle amorce l’art figuratif selon la technique des grands Maîtres
tels les peintres flamants et cette ouverture à sa créativité inexplorée
l’enchante.

Depuis, cette artiste expose régulièrement au Canada, aux États-Unis, en
France et en Italie.

Ses oeuvres se retrouvent en institution publique (Patrimoine Canada) et dans le
collections privées.
Fascinates since childhood by the color and the drawing, the peace hamlet and the refuge; she will choose normative path due to lack of encouragement from her entourage.
It was not until several years later, especially through her extensive travels and visits visual arts museums, that she will rediscovered her love for art.
An invitation to participe to intensive oil painting workshop will drastically change her view of life. A medium that has always attracted her and then she plunges into this universe that has delighted her instantly. It initiates figurative art according to the technique of the great Masters ( as flemish painters) and this opening to this unexplored creativity enchants it .
Quickly the call to discover a more spontaneous gesture is felt, she will move away from cerebral strain that mastery of this oil technique suggest to her. The advent of a new inwardness approach will trigger spontaneity like a box that opened to leave room to the most beautiful treasures.
